I need to thank all who have supported Recital over the past year. It has been a grand one.

2016 is lined up to have the busiest release schedule yet for Recital, ranging from books to CDs to LPs.
And wine glasses.

The first set of releases (in January) are two books:

R14- Sean McCann – “Pacifics” Book & CDr
R16- Enzo Minarelli – “Romanzi nelle i” Book, CD, & DVD

Those are available now for Pre-order, and will ship in the first two weeks of January.

Following further in the year… a Loren Connors reissue LP (a sister to Airs), archival Italian sound poetry LPs, an American gamelan LP/CD, and at long last my own Music for Public Ensemble 2xLP (amongst many others).

Would like to extend thanks to Mark Harwood, Graham Lambkin, Scott Foust, Allen Mozek, Jordan Spencer, Nick Storring, Ian William Craig, Enzo Minarelli, Andrew Chalk, Tom Scott, Zach Schwartz, Cameron Stallones, Rob Magill, Matthew Sullivan, Alex Gray, & Maxwell Croy for their correspondence and support for Recital.
Additionally, to Tiny Mix Tapes, The Wire, Mojo, & A Closer Listen (amongst many other press outlets).

Enjoy this holiday season, listen to some Ben Webster and some Gerhard Rühm by the hearth with a glass of port.

-Sean McCann, December 2015

If interested in picking up a copy of Ian’s new LP, Cradle for the Wanting, you can Purchase one through Recital, or through one of our Distributors (who are receiving their copies very soon.) The Deluxe edition has sold out, and many of the remaining copies have been spoken for.

And here is some visual-fanfare to welcome Ian’s new LP.

*Note that the soundtrack is not just one piece, but an overview that cleverly stitches together three works from Cradle.

In other Recital news, Sean McCann’s book, Pacifics, will be made available in late November.  Followed by a fascinating new work, Romanzi nelle i (Book + cd/dvd) by Italian sound poet Enzo Minarelli.

In time for Halloween and the fall winds, we are pleased to publish Idea Fire Company’s lovely new LP, Lost at Sea.
I can already imagine it: a cold evening, candles, syrupy glass of red wine, and this LP. What more could you ask for?
